The Skaar arose from a lose group of nomadic tribes who wandered the grasslands of northern V’harnwold as the Ulutian Civilisation rose into prominence of the Ulutian Empire. It was a nameless prophet who came from across the Deep Sea who through her preaching that banded these tribes together and called them the Skaar (the People). As the Ulation Civilisation grew they became hostile and started to try and press the Skaar into servitude. The prophet claimed that there were lands across the sea and the god of these lands was calling them to a rich life. The Skaar followed the prophet journeyed away from their traditional lands. What followed was a mass pilgrimage to what became known as the Wyrmgud Spires (Dragon god Spires). They became bonded to the Great Wyrm and her kind found here. She was the nameless prophet and her name was T’zanrakthic. T’zanrakthic was good to her word and led the Skaarwyrmgud to the islands beyond the Wyrmgud Spires. Over time the Skaar became three powerful Clans the Brae (Hound), the warrior clan; the Lar (Stag), the agricultural-civil clan; and the Sul (Salmon), the the priestly-druidic clan. The Skaarwyrmgud grew in strength and numbers under the benevolence of the wyrms until the Time of Chaos. The wyrms were drastically affected by the change of The Flow when Undolian was slain. They fell into a deep slumber. The Hobs emerged from deep tunnels and caves throughout the Skaarwyrmgud Islands and the Skaarwyrmgud Hob war raged for 6 years. It decimated the Skaarwyrmgud, they were wiped out on the three islands that were to become New Ilthium and leaving the Brae the dominant tribe. Without the wyrms to guide and lead the people the Brae assumed leadership, by default renaming the Skaarwyrmgud to the Brae.
